28 July 2023: Paddy Clancy has taken home an honourable mention from the International Linguistics Olympiad for the Irish team which took place in Bansko, Bulgaria this week.
Arthur Mckeever achieved an Honourable Mention for Ireland at the 2022 IOL.
IOL 2021 took place online remotely (from Ventspils in Latvia).
This year, the 4 members of the team proudly representing Ireland remotely from Dublin City University in July were:
Oscar Despard achieved a Bronze Medal and Natalia Timulakova recevied an Honourable Mention for Ireland at IOL 2021.
IOL 2020, due to be held in Latvia, was postponed due the pandemic.
The 4 members of the team who had qualified but did not get to attend an IOL were:
IOL 2019 took place in Yongin, South Korea 29th July – 2nd August 2019.

IOL 2018 took place in Prague, Czechia from 26th to 30th July 2018.

Claire O’Connor achieved a Bronze Medal and Pádraig Sheehy and Dónal Farren received Honourable Mentions for Ireland at the 2016 IOL.
