You can read all details in the AILO 2018/19 2019 AILO Brochure.
Now a key element of the ADAPT Centre’s Problem-Solving Initiative, and with support from the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht under the Co-operation with Northern Ireland Fund, the contest promises to be bigger and better than ever before. You can qualify to represent Ireland at the International Linguistics Olympiad in South Korea in July 2019.
The department’s funding has supported us to design and develop new training materials and to send Information packs to all schools on the island of Ireland in mid September 2019. The qualifying round will take place in your own school in the first week of February 2020. The final round will take place in March 2020 in Dublin.
If you are a teacher registering a number of students from a school, you can register on the School Registration Page. Please note that if you register, we will email you with four sample sets Sept – Jan and with information for Round 1 of AILO 2020.
Individual Student Registration of Interest
If you are an individual student, you can register your interest on the Individual Student Page. You must have contact details for a teacher at hand because the first round must be supervised. Please note that if you register, we will email you with four sample sets Sept – Jan and with information for Round 1 of AILO 2020.
